WindowsXP on Windows 7 Host No Network or USB

My Host O/S is Windows 7 ,7068, 64bit.
I am using VirtualBox 2.2, ( Portable Version ), on a 32gb USB Flash Drive.
I have set up a Virtal Machine running Windows XP Pro Service pack 3.
I have Two Major Problems.
I can't Access My Local Network ( mshome ).
And I can't Access Any USB Flash Drives.
I can't even See any of the Directories that are presently installed on the same flash drive that VirtualBox is installed.
I Have Installed the Virtual Machine Additions
