Network: WinXP (Host), Ubuntu 8.10 (Guest) and Cisco VPN

Hi!

I installed Ubuntu 8.10 Server as guest on Windows XP SP3 as host using VirtualBox 2.2.
On host i use Cisco VPN Client to get internet connection.
The problem is that when Cisco VPN Client is connected it changes Windows routing table and i cannot use local network between host and guest.
I'm using guest Ubuntu as LAMP Developement server and i need to be connected to local network and to internet in the same time.
Could you suggest how to solve this problem?
Sry for my English.

I have tried both bridged and host-only connections.

Some options, in bridge mode look at the gateway and change it to the one the Host is using(maybe even via static IP values to match the vpn subnet) or set it to the Host itself and enable routing on the Host. Use NAT. Use network sharing on the Host and bridge that with a windows bridge, you should be able to select the bridged nic from the Guest.
