Cannot convert settings

I am running PCLinuxOS. I had VirtualBox running and had problems. I uninstalled all modules that appear in the Synaptic repository with the word VirtualBox. I then reinstalled VirtualBox with no error messages. However, when I try to run it, I receive this message:

Could not load the settings file '/home/jan/.VirtualBox/VirtualBox.xml'.
Cannot convert settings from version '1.6-linux'.
The source version is not supported.
