Can't turn off full screen

I run VirtualBox on windows vista. Have virtual machine with Ubuntu.

After upgrading from VirtualBox-2.1.4-42893-Win_x86 to VirtualBox-2.2.0-45846-Win.exe, I'm having issue, when it's imposible tu turn off full screen mode. If I press start on unbuntu, it starts fullscreen. For a second or two I can see menu of window and sun logotype, but it disappears too fast, so, I can't press anything in menu. Clr+F doesn't work too.

Tried to overwrite new version with old one 2.1.4, but unsuccessfully.

So, how I can turn of that full screen mode? It was so cool than I had two monitors, but now it makes me go mad :)

I feel that there must be very simple solution for that problem, please help me :)

I also added an image to ilustrate this: Image

If you can not get this to work any other way see below.

Look in .VirtualBox/Machines/<name of your guest> for an XML file. You can edit this and set

<ExtraDataItem name="GUI/Fullscreen" value="off"/>

I really hate editing these files but from time to time we need to. Please do not use word.... notepad would be safer.

Also as always make a backup of the original just in case something goes wrong!

Edit: Well I see you put up a graphics after I sent the reply. This looks like you are trying to go into seemless mode as well. Try HOST -L First

Excuse my ignorance, but what does HOST -L mean? I have seen references to HOST+F to revert to a window from full screen but have not idea what is meant.

The HOST key, usually the right CTRL key on your keyboard.

Thank you, it helped.

But after reading other massages I realised my mistake. I was trying to press left control + f :( When pressing right control + f it works :)
