Shared Folders: Content Write-Protected
Posted: 14. Apr 2009, 21:04
Situation:
Version 2.2
Linux host, Windows guest
Shared folder has a+rw file permissions on Linux host
When I access that shared folder (no matter if by browsing Network or adding it as network-folder Z:) all files have the write-protect flag set. Windows Explorer completely ignores it (and I can add/edit files and folders) but most applications choke on that flag. This is annoying, because I have to save files somewhere in the VDI and then manually copy them - not the way this was intended.
Is this a bug or am I too stupid?
