DHCP does not work with cloned VMs ? (2.2)

Post by ron.piterman »

Hi all,

I Installed Debian on a Guest VM and installed some basic software.

After cloning this vm, either through export/import or through VBoxManage clonehd + create new VM, the new guest's network interface (eth1) does not get an IP-address assigned.

The original Guest VM Debian works fine.

Explict

Code: Select all

ifconfig eth1 up
does not help.

Any Idees ?

Thanx, Ron

New VM, new MAC address, new interface name. Clear /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules from existing interfaces, restart udev or just reboot.
