Hi all,
I am running Fedora 10 64-bit and am trying to mount an existing XP-64bit partition as a virtual machine. Unfortunately, I encounter this error upon booting the virtual machine.
Failed to start the virtual machine XP Pro.
VT-x is not available. (VERR_VMX_NO_VMX).
Unknown error creating VM (VERR_VMX_NO_VMX).
Result Code:
NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)
Component: Console
Interface: IConsole {9511bc54-15ee-4ddf-808e-472aba03809c}
I've seen other threads (at least for VirtualBox under Mac OsX) which describe the same error, however, the best advice offered is to disable VT-x in the settings. Unfortunately, this is not possible as the 64-bit architecture requires VT-x to be enabled. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to get this working ??
Thanks,
Kevin
