I am a happy 2.1x user who does not wish to reinstall XP as a guest all over. If I install the new 2.2, will it update my current virtualbox and allow me to continue on with my XP guest installation or will I have to start from scratch? Thanks.

Any update full or upgrade should not effect the VM's, only its configuration xml file(s). But as always make a backup.
