Mobile Device Center on Vista Ultimate Guest

Hi all...

I have been using VB for a couple of weeks now, and so far have not had too many issues. The only persistent bug that is bothering me is related to USB and syncing mobile devices.

I finally got my USB stick recognized and working, and was able to get my Vista guest to at least recognize that there was a smart phone plugged into the USB port. What is going on now is that even though Vista acknowledges that there is indeed a smart phone connected, Mobile Device Center refuses to connect to it. I have tried everything I can think of. I tried the /etc/fstab fix, still no joy (in fact, iirc Hardy stopped recognizing the phone altogether afterward. I had to comment the line out in fstab and then turn off enhanced usb connections in WM6 for the Vista guest to be able to properly install drivers). Each time I am met with an error during a sync, I have to soft reset the phone in order for Hardy to see it again.

I've seen multiple sync issues with WM6 and Windows guests, but most of them seem to have some form of a solution, even if it is slightly suboptimal. I have not seen anything specifically relating to MDC on Vista yet, which is why I'm posting this.

Host OS is Ubuntu Hardy with latest security patches, Guest that is having a problem is Vista Ultimate SP1.

Any help is appreciated.
