Win7 Build 7700 - hangs at startup!

i tried using Windows 7 Build 7700 x86 but it hangs while booting. Are there known issues between W7 7700 and the actual VB? I used the predefined Win7 Profile.

There is no build 7700.
I use Windows 7 beta 7000 (the public beta), and have had no issues running VB at all, up until the new 2.2 release which has messed with my network abilities. Other than that, it's fine

Thats wrong, 7700 exists, maybe you don´t have it... but it exists!

Hello,
I've got the same problem regarding the network with virtualbox 2.2. Is there any solution. cause when trying to setup Windows 7 again, it does not finish anymore and hangs up during the set up processing.

I have VB 2.2 on Mac OS X 10.5.6 with guest additions and I've got Windows 7 build 7100 running just fine - except for no audio. Networking works, updates work, but I can't get audio configured.

If you are having network problems on a windows host that you have updated to VB 2.2.0, you first need to reinstall VB as administrator and select repair.
Also in the Vbox users guide it talks about Vista which is the closest thing there is to Windows 7 (which is not out of RC). Read this and follow the suggestions to get this to work. Also on this release there is a known issue with NAT. Use Bridged.

. Just kidding. You need to search the forum. There are plenty of sound issues on the MAC, but there are also a lot of work arounds.
Use- no sound when using mac host site:forums.virtualbox.org -In google search

Don't believe that youve got 7700 because @ 5 may there will be the release of the RC and that will be around 7100.So perhaps you loaded a corrupt fake ?

When running Win7Beta in VB 2.2.2 r46594 on XP Pro for more than a day, if I initiate a shutdown from the guest's start menu, it hangs at "stopping" for at least 30 minutes. Neither choosing File | Close in VB nor clicking the close button on the guest window has any apparent effect. I'm only able to close the guest by ending the process in the host task manager.
I don't have this problem when shutting down the guest after it's been running for only a few minutes.
If any VB developer wants more detail, let me know.
