On a Windows Vista host, using VirtualBox version 2.2.0 r45846 -
I created a guest Ubuntu 8.10 server machine.
Small foot print. No GUI, just the console.
Had the network working in NAT and Bridged mode.
This Vista system has a "Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller".
Everything works fine.
So I did the "Export Appliance..."

Copied the .vmdk and .ovf files to a Windows XP system.

On a Windows XP host, using VirtualBox version 2.2.0 r45846 -
I did an "Import Appliance..."
I am able to login to the Ubuntu console.
Everything works except the Network.
This XP system has a "SiS 900-Based PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter".
The imported appliance does not work in NAT or Bridged mode.
In fact, in Ubuntu there is no "eth0". Only the "lo" Loopback.

On XP the VirtualBox Host-Only Ethernet Adapter says "Limited or no connectivity".

What did I miss?
How do I restore Network connectivity to the Imported Appliance?
