HP Pavillion dv5-1166us - BIOS update needed for 64bit
I have installed Virtualbox and am trying to create a virtual machine with OpenSUSE. But i get an error talking about the hardware acceleration. I have an image with the error message below. Any help would be appreciated.
Re: Error
What about doing what the message is telling you?

Re: Error
Look into the Bios of your Computer for an option like vt.
That is exact what the message says.

Re: Error
Do you have a 64 bit computer with supporting BIOS and hyper-threading?
It appears to not be working properly. You will need to get the 32 bit version of the OS if your computer can not do 64.

Re: Error
Is you Vista 64 bit or 32?
Give me the make and model of the CPU so we can see. You can look at the BIOS of the PC to see if you can find where to turn on visualization. If you can not find it then the BIOS does not support it even if you have the Processor that does. You can sometimes get an update to the BIOS to enable it if the vendor provides it.

Re: Error
This should work. Did you setup the VBox GUI to enable vt-x/amd-V and nested pages? It's under the general / advanced settings.
You still need to check and make sure that it is turned on in the BIOS, but I bet it is.
