Wireless Networking setup

Post by how-and-why »

I've just set up an XP SP2 virtual machine on my Ubuntu 8.10 host using 2.2.0 VB (It's only so I can get Adobe CS4 up and running). However after trying out all the different combinations with the networking options, I've very little idea what the hell the instruction manual is trying to say, I can't get the VM to recognize my wireless card (a TP Link WN951N model).

I installed the driver to the VM from the CD drive. It also seams to think that I could connect an ether net cable, but that would be impracticable considering to do so would mean lugging the desktop from the shed to the house and then back out to the shed again.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated as I'm very nw to both Linux and VB.
Cheers :D
