Time for Jaunty repository

Post by smith0815 »

Hello,

I really appreciate your service, providing Ubuntu and Debian repositories is very helpful. Unfortunately there is no repository for Jaunty Jackalope yet.

Kind regards

I asked one of the devs about this through email. Intrepid builds will work just fine on Jaunty. A Jaunty repo might come when Jaunty is final and a new version is released after that.

Will version 2.1.4 work with Jaunty.

I had serious performance issues with 2.2 and had to revert back to 2.1.4. I had the same experience with 2.1.2 until the point release fixed the guest additions issue. I am waiting for a point release to fix this current performance issue before I try 2.2 again.

Yes, all Intrepid builds should work with Jaunty. Since new kernels happen every once in a while, some older builds might not work with them properly. 2.1.4 should have no issues with any of them atm.

I'm using 2.2 on Jaunty with no apparent USB issues. And I don't just use usb hard drives or .... well I plug medical equipment into it. And I also plug a Logitech Harmony remote into it. Not saying noboy should have any issues... just stating that I am not apparently encountering any.
