Have you submited a ticket to bugtracker on this? Sometimes the problem is that no one checks to see if there has been a report made and provide the information to the DEVs that they need to fix the problem. I was notified today on a bug I reported the other day and they have fixed it and it will be included in the next maintenance release. Search bugtracker and if you do find an entry add your name to the list and if not then create a ticket. You will need to setup an account there as they are on a different system. Link to bugtracker is below my post.

Environment variables are found:
Start menu-> rightclick computer properties
in left pane Advanced system settings
then advanced and click Environment variables
Top is for your variables bottom for system.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I changed the temp folder and everything worked. It was the TMP value not the TEMP one.

Perryg, you posted this bugtracker http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/3873 before. This is the exact same problem. I don't want to double submit the bug. Is there anything I can do to make them fix this faster? Should I open a new bug ticket?

Setup and account and log in. Add yourself to that ticket and be sure to add your log file, along with all specific information.
The DEVs have setup an exact requirement for tickets and if you follow it they will respond.

This error should be fixed in the next upcoming version. Please report back if the error still exists then.
