Hello Everyone.

I installed and configured all the VirtualBox environment as super-user. It is working fine, but when I logged with my login (authenticated by NIS) and try to invoke the VirtualBox I need to setup it again.

How can I use the same setup that I made as super-user ?

or

For each new user, Do I need to setup the VirtualBox again ?

Please, Could you help me ?

Thank you so much,
Paula

Have you tried to add yourself to the vboxusers group?

Hi Perry,

Not yet.
But I think that I need to add this group in my NIS server first.
Is it correct ?

Sorry Paula I have not tried that scenario yet.
I would think you should be able to add it to your local machine though since that is where the program starts although it is redundant.
Other than that you will need to wait for someone that has done this over NIS.
All I can tell you is give it a shot and see what happens. I do not think there are any reasons that this would cause a problem.
