USB Hardlock

Hi all,

I set up VB in an Ubuntu host, running XP as a guest. Trying to use my hardlock-protected software, I found that the Hardlock (Aladdin USB) is well recognized in the XP hardware manager, even all the drivers seem to be installed correctly. The USB listing shows the dongle as it does with a native XP install.

However, the hardlock/key does not appear to be seen by the protected software. I tried two different programs (with their respective keys), and each one states the key wasn't found.

As this is essential for my work, I will not be able to switch operating systems (to ubuntu) using VB to run my software. I would love to do so because I'm quite fed up with windows and its issues and would be more than happy to be able to do my everyday work in ubuntu, starting a VM for the abovementioned software.

Thankful for any hint,
Phil.
