[Solved] Shared folder not showing all files

Hello,
VB is working fine under OpenSuse (KDE 4.2) with a WinXP pro guest, with one exeption:

my shared folder does not show any files in it from the guest side. On the host side I can see there are six files in it.

I have created a file on the guest side and saved it into the folder - and it shows up just fine. However, creating a file on the host side and saving it to the shared folder makes it hidden to the guest.

Checking the file permissions on the host side shows that they are identical for the file which shows up and the ones which don't!

The underlying filesystem on the host is EXT3 - could this be an issue or does anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks

Which version of VB are you using and which GA did you install? There was an issue about this with an earlier version and they already fixed it. Please see the Bugtracker to find when it was fixed, but if you grab the latest version from the website, it will have the fix for sure. It's been mentioned at the forums too.

*Sigh*
Thanks for the heads-up. I installed from OpenSuse 11 repos, assuming they'd be the current version - which they weren't. I've since downloaded the latest version from the downloads page, and shared folders work fine.

Cheers
