Change default location for VDI's

Post by SGM »

I am using OPENSuse as a host and the VirtualBox stuffs the VDI's in /root/.VirtualBox/HardDisks.
Is it possible to change this to somewhere on the /home directory which I always build as a seperate partition for backup purposes?

Regards,

Do as the Forum Posting Guide suggests and search the forums for this one. Use the key VBOX_USER_HOME.

With the above variable, the whole VB settings folder is changed. If you only want to change the location of the VDI files, check the Preferences from the main GUI.
