Hi all,
running Windows XP as guest under Debian Lenny with enlightenment window manager I can't get copy paste to properly work in neither direction. It just seems to sometimes work and sometimes not.
Any hints ?
thanks

I had a similiar problem with awesomeWM.
There are two clipboards in xorg that I know of.
xsel -s | xsel &
takes your seccondary clipboard and pipes it into the first one. if that is not what you need, try the program 'xclip'

hmm.. intersting programms, but I cant see how one of them would help me. I think the problem is more transfering/sharing clipboard betwenn guest and host. Since copy and paste ist working in either of the two but not between the two.

What are you copying between the two systems? Text is the only thing that is supported. You can't copy files and other binaries to and from the Guest.

no of course only text. I need to coopy text from xterm to the guest and vice versa for example.

Have you tried it with a text editor? Xterm can have some strange clipboard rules. Try it with Firefox, copy it's URL for example.

of course I tried this also. But its the same. It seems to just work one time after the guest is booted and after that the clipboard keeps the first copied content.
