Host to Guest network connectivity.

Post by Gangrif »

I'm running a CentOS5 guest, on a Fedora 10 Host.
Virtualbox 2.1.4

In the guest, i've setup a network accessible application, and i need to be able to connect to this application from my host.

The Guest is configured to use NAT, and it gets an IP, and i can get to the 'net, or the host, from the guest.

I cannot get from my host, to the guest. I suspect this is because there is no interface on the host with the proper network tied to it, so the request is going out through my default gateway rather than to the local guest.

Am i supposed to be able to do this? Or is this soemething that virtualbox doesnt do?

Thanks!
