virutal box as an operating system

Hi everybody.
i have a simple question.I would like to know if there is any distribution of virtual box that can be install without the need of another operating sysytem.What i mean is if there exist a distribution that can be install directly on hardware(bear metal) (not as an application of linux or windoz or solaris)????????
To be more clear i am asking if there is a distribution of virtual box analog to vmware esx server????
