How to enable Audio running Ubuntu(guest) on xp(host)

Tried to play an audio file but can't get some sound. please help!

found it myself. just for you also having these problems:
In the details page of the virtual box aplication the blue words like audio is also a hyperlink getting you when clicked to a settingspage where you can enable sound. Just so simple but yet not that easy to find for a beginner it looks like

Hi,
I still do have problem with sound on WinXP Pro host and Fedora 9 / xUbuntu guests.... and yes, I have audio activated. It shows as null audio. Mind you, this is on Dell D620 laptop (I believe it has Sigma Audio, but I am not 100% sure). Any ideas?

If you send something to /dev/null (or in this case a null audio device) it get's send to outer space

. Select a different output, like MS Direct Sound.
