Shared folder on Mandriva 2008.1 OSE

Post by jeanchristophe »

Hello

I am using virtualbox on my mandriva 2008.1
I have downloaded virtualbox from the official repository.
The system is working find (what should I do to make it work fullscreen?)

I created a shared folder (actually my home directory /home/christophe) for several of my systems (XP, Win98, Ubuntu & Debian).
My question is:

What should I do to see them?
Where are they?

I cannot see them!

Thank you
Best regards

Shared Folders is a Guest Addition service. There might be a package in your distro repo that has the GA ISO file, else you can find it on the website (http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox). If you install the PUEL version from the website, it's included in the installer.

Hello,

Thank you for your answer, but unless PUEL mean something else, then I can't find any file of this kind.
I have looked at the version 2.1.2 & 2.1.4

Hello again,

I have now downloaded the sun version.
My previously systems are still here, but it doesn't want to show me the shared folder!

Where should I see them, if they were here?

Thank you
Best regards

Did you read the manual of how to use Shared Folders? You have to mount them inside the Guest before you can see them.
