Solution is here. I guess.

I checked another VB installed versions and i had 1.6.4 and 2.1.4 both installed at my system.

I uninstalled 1.6.4 version from command line and pluf... Everything works ok like before this issue.

Now i can acces my VMs from my user.

I hope you are well with this.

Ok. I'm still dead in the water here. I've tried to run VirtualBox from the command line as suggested above and I get:
[Joe@localhost ~]$ su
Password:
[root@localhost Joe]# VirtualBox
Qt WARNING: Qt: Session management error: None of the authentication protocols specified are supported

Then I followed the links and downloaded both libX11-1.1.4.6.fc10.src.rpm with this result:
Backend will not install a src rpm file

and then libX11-devel-1.1.4-6.fc10.i386.rpm with this result:
Can't install /home/Joe/Download/libX11-devel-1.1.4-6.fc10.i386.rpm

Now I've also tried to launch Wine from it's rack but it does about as much as VirtualBox (which is nothing). Any ideas?

Thanks in advace.

JoeF, if Wine doesn't even start on the Host, then there is something else wrong with your system and we can't help you with that. We go to the extend of VB, any other application that fail to start because of missing libraries or faulty configs are out of our scope. Please check your distro forum for more specialized help.

Sasquatch; totally understand that. I just thought there may be a 'connection' I didn't know about. But to go on, after I got the error codes posted above due to the tried installation of the older files (see posting by Gac), my system did a automatic update late last night and when I came back to it this morning everything is now working. Wine, VB, and basicly the entire system. I am currently putting the updates to XPpro on the VirtualBox system.

So, in short, following what you guys were talking about apparently did help. Doing a system upgrade and the reboot (and possibly just the reboot) seems to have brought everything 'in to place'. I'll thank everyone for the help now, but still not exactly sure as to which one did the trick.

Thanks,
JoeF

Don't install and try the .src. or .devel. version of libX11. Just downgrade as described in my earlier post and things will work. This also fixes the issue with wine. It's not a VirtualBox problem, per se, but an issue brought on by the upgrade of libX11
