Ubuntu host / XP guest: Quickcam not recognized

Hi,

I installed VB 2.1.4 PUEL to my Ubuntu 8.10 64 bit and set up a Windows XP guest which works fine so far. One of the reasons I did this is that I'd like to use Skype with video and sound which is impossible with 8.10 64 bit only. While the sound is less of a problem (I use a USB headset from Logitech) my webcam gives me pain. It's called Logitech Quickcam E 1000 (at least that's what the box says), lsusb gives:

Bus 007 Device 003: ID 046d:08af Logitech, Inc. QuickCam Easy/Cool

The cam works fine with Cheese and I configured a filter for the cam (Unbekanntes Gerät->Unknown device). Unfortenately the guest's device manager doesn't show the cam even with installed drivers. So I guess I need to adjust the USB filter's settings or do some additional steps in Ubuntu itself. Any ideas how I can solve this?

Discussed here several times, cams/mics are not yet fully supported. If it works your in luck.
