Fibre Channel HBA support?

Post by ronys »

Hi,

I've been asked to investigate the behavior of a Fibre Channel storage network using various OS's as initiators.
VirtualBox would be perfect for this if it were possible to expose the physical HBA (Qlogic 24xx) to the guest VMs.
Is there a way to do this? If not, is such support planned for a future version?

Thanks,

Rony

Your best bet is Fibre Channel storage over IP, just as iSCSI works like a charm.

Thanks - I'm not sure this helps, but how would you set this up, given that the host has FC hardware (QLogix HBA), connected to a FC storage?
