help, snapshot deleted by accident

Post by helpbay »

Hey vitualbox.
I have had a major problem, the fact is that I run x64bit version of "Ubuntu", and in my ubuntu, I installed some "guist" with the virtualbox and it has also run fine, but yesterday was so that my "guist (s)", had been down graduated, so all my content on my desktop had disappeared, I've tried to load. VDI your files from "/ home / leif / .VirtualBox / VDI as their location, has anyone had a solution to the problem

-Sorry for all my spelling mistakes, but not able to chek them today.
afterthought it is about life or death

Sorry but I really don't understand what you are asking. What is a guist. Do you mean guest VMs? What you you mean by downgraded? If it really is a matter of life and death then you need to take the time to explain what is wrong and what help you are seeking.

Restore from backup, if you don't have a backup you are out of luck.

It will involve alot of xml file hacking, basicly I'd make a new snapshot, shut VB down, locate the xml files and snapshot file, then replace the new snapshot with the old by editing the xml's or renaming the snapshot file(s). No idea if this works since I don't use snapshots.
