Or any workaround without upgrading the kernel? Where can I find old headers?

Installing VBox on old kernel
Is there any chance to install VirtualBox on the old kernel (debian-5, 2.6.18-92.1.22)?

Re: Installing VBox on old kernel
2.6.18-92.1.22 doesnt look like a debian kernel number to me, from where did you get that kernel?the old kernel (debian-5, 2.6.18-92.1.22)?
you can search and download debian etch 2.6.18 kernel and header .deb packages from packages.debian.org
Re: Installing VBox on old kernel
Did you try installing it ? If so, did to face any issues.
I think it should work, the installer creates the kernel modules for you kernel in postinstall. Theoretically it should not be a problem.
