Remote Desktop Connection crashes under Windows 7

I'm able to connect into my VB most of the time, but occasionally (generally seems to be when windows are being opened or closed) I get the following crash and the client disconnects:
I'm running:
Host OS: Ubuntu 8.10 Server (running headless)
Guest OS: Windows XP
VBox Version: 2.1.4r42893
There seems to be a few comments about similar issues under Vista. Does anyone know if there's a fix or a workaround available? ..or is this just something I'm going to have to live with?
