Problem with auto switching off screen

Hi,

I installed VirtualBox 2.1.4 (r42893 linux.x86) and everything works fine but I could not auto switch off the screen in host system (System-Parameters-Power management) when virtual machine is on pause. I believe that suspended guest system try to capture the mouse and prevent auto switching off the screen in host system.
Is this a problem related to Ubuntu 8.10? How can I solve this?

Guest - Windows XP
CPU - AMD Athlon XP 3000+ ; RAM - 1.25 Gb (1024+256)
Video - NVIDIA GeForce2 MX 200 (32 ?b)
