Send keypress to guest

Post by Durnt »

I did a couple of searches but failed to come up with anything. Is there a way to have a key be sent to both the host(ubuntu) and guest(windows xp)?

Only if you add a keyboard on USB, pass that to the VM and press the same key on both keyboards at the same time. Or write some kind of script that picks up the key press, send it to the Host and then duplicate that key for the Guest. Give the VM focus so it can read input and only then can the keystroke be passed to the VM. But once the VM has focus, the script on the Host won't work anymore.
