Hi,
I was in the middle of creating a snapshot of my machine and it froze on 99%. I had that happen a few times before and no amount of waiting helps (I've tried like 12 hours). So I killed the process. But know when i start that machine it complains that the harddrive is locked for writing by another task. That lock is obviously left over from the time i killed the process. Is there any way of deleting the lock so i can boot the thing again?
I'm running Fedora 9 host and XP-sp3 guest
and the exact error is:
Medium '/mnt/ntfsData/VM/VirtualBox/HDDs/vXP4-dev.vdi' is locked for writing by another task.
Result Code:
VBOX_E_INVALID_OBJECT_STATE (0x80BB0007)
Component:
HardDisk2
Interface:
IHardDisk2 {ed6e2525-c2fd-42a4-917a-7a9045ac9e15}
Callee:
IConsole {e3c6d4a1-a935-47ca-b16d-f9e9c496e53e}
Thanks,
Pavel

Have you tried rebooting the Host?
