Well, after testing VB 2.2.2, I still have the same network problems and even worst, I cant start any virtual machine, I'm getting a " VirtualBox GUI has stopped working, windows is looking for a solution."
As I posted before I'm using a Vista 64 bit host and my nic is a Realtek 8187B.

Your best bet is to remove all of VBox installs/network drivers and start from scratch with 2.2.2

I'm going to do a clean install of Vista ( Ho Dear! ) and install 2.2.2 right after to try and troubleshoot this problem, still, the " VirtualBox GUI has stopped working, windows is looking for a solution." problem is making me wander...
This is really frustrating because I really love everything about VBox, it works great on a Linux host, but with windows it seams to be a different story.

Check the event logs on the Host for weird/error entries.

Is there a way to completely clean an install of VBox? As in absolutely remove everything (w/ the exception of the machines and VDIs)?

Remove VB from the system using Windows Control Panel. After uninstall, remove the .VirtualBox folder in your profile.
