Hello,
I have been running Virtualbox 2.1.4 in Linux (Debian) host using Windows XP guest. I have been using this combination successfully for a while now but during this week I have had some serious issues. Three times XP guest has crashed with blue screen stop error. The first times I have managed to recover with chkdsk but now the third time has probably corrupted my XP drive image.
I can't think of anything else that would have been changed during this week but I installed 2.6.28 kernel and I started using hdaps. I believe that hdaps is causing these crashes because every time when XP has crashed XP has been doing disk activity and the laptop has been on my lap and may have moved. Has anybody else had any problems with hdaps and does anybody have any ideas how to solve this? I'm using sata disks in Virtualbox and I have not yet tried with ide disks.
