ODBC Access to Sybase DSN on Red Hat Guest

Has anyone tried ODBC access to Sybase running on Red Hat Linux guest?

I typically have ODBC Data source definition through Setting->Control Panel-.Administrative Tools -> Data Sources (ODBC). I have no problem when configuring connections for real machines however VBOX DSN with the same attributes gives the following error detail.

Sybase][ODBC Driver][Adaptive Server Anywhere]Database server not found
Error code=-100
SQL state=08001

Any idea where I need to make a change to enable access from my WinXP to Linux guest on VBox?

XP Professional
