How do i setup usb in mandriva linux 2009.
i am a new user to linux. i just switched yesterday from windows xp.
i have no knowledge in programing for linux.
please help.

You must be root. Sorry, this is not a linux forum.
That are problems in the handling of a guest OS, not VirtualBox Problems. You have to read a linux book before working with it.
