No consigo hacer que funcione el COM1 con el ttyS0

Hola buenas lo siento pero no se ingles
tengo un sistema openSUSE 10.2 y he puesto una maquina virtual WindowsXP Pro
Dicho Windows corre con VirtualBox-1.5.6_28266_openSUSE102-1.i586.rpm
y VBoxGuestAdditions_1.6.6.iso
he descomentado en el fichero intitab lo siguiente
S0
respawn:/sbin/agetty -L 9600 ttyS0 vt102
he configurado el puerto serie COM!1 y he puesto /dev/ttyS0
hasta aqui todo bien
El puerto en el windows esta bien configurado e instalado
Conecto una estacion metereologica en el puero COM1 ya que el programa de datos de dicha estacion "Oregon" corre sobre windows
Dicho programa llamado vws me dice que el puerto COM1 esta bien conectado
Pero el programa no recibe ningun dato de la estacion metereologica por el puerto COM1
Parece como si el hilo virtual que tendria que conectar el ttyS0 con el COM1 este roto
y claro al apagar la maquina virtual el sistema se queja y me dice
Ioctl failed for serial host device '/dev/ttyS0' (VERR_INVALID_POINTER).
The device will not work properly.
ID Error DrvHostSerialFail
Gravedad: Aviso
despues de este avidso se queda blloqueado el virtualbox
y al final queda el sistema como bloqueado
No se que hacer la configuracion de el puerto esta igual tanto en el COM1 como ttyS0
Espero alguna idea de ustedes

This program called VWS tells me that the COM1 port is well connected
But the program does not receive any information from the weather station for COM1

and clear when you turn off the virtual machine and the system tells me complains

after this avidso remains the blloqueado VirtualBox
