dead mouse buttom after guestadditions install

Post by tantares »

I run Vbox 2.1.4 r42893 on Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy). Installed Knoppix 5.3 (debian 2.6.24 based). Seemed to work fine with capure mode. After installing the guestadditions, the Vbox tells me, that the mouse is integrated. But the mouse does not work. The pointer moves but no buttom action.

How can I uninstall the guestadditions?

Any idea or help is appreciated?

The GA are only modules, not a package for your package manager. For the mouse itself, all you have to do is edit your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file and change the driver for the mouse from vboxmouse to mouse. Or set it to force it to use that driver.
