While my HP with Virtualbox installed came pre loaded w/o disk I do have a legal XP disk for a machine that crashed.
My question is if I create an ISO image of this disk XP pro purchased will VB or windows allow this option. The OEM on the HP is XP pro as well

Most pre-installed OEM versions allow you to create a safety reinstall CD from a recovery partition. If you've removed this then your options are limited.

As to a separate previously purchased copy of XP Pro, technically there is nothing to stop copying this to an ISO media (or even just using the physical CD/DVD) and using this to install a clean VM copy. You will need to go through the activation process with MS of course.

As to the legal / commercial issues in doing this, these have been discussed previously in many topics.

You asked this question yesterday too. I replied to that one. I'm locking this one, please stick to one topic.
