Automatically Change Resolution for Full Screen

Hi,
I have 2x Windows XP Pro guests running on an Ubuntu Linux host.
The hard disk image for the 2nd guest I cloned from the 1st, using VBoxManage clonevdi.
The 1st one seems to work great in that it's in 1024x768 when in a window, then automatically goes to 1280x1024 when I make it full screen.
The 2nd one doesn't seem to do that - it stays in whatever resolution I have it in....so if it's in 1024x768 and I go full screen, I get black round the edges. If I change it to 1280x1024 when in full screen, when I go back to a window I get scroll bars.
Is there a way I can make the 2nd one behave like the 1st, where it automatically adjusts the resolution when going full screen?
Thanks
Ian
