Morning,
after my setup of a windows2000 guest on my debian os, windows is loading but at the end the loading screen remains and no windows display.
I ran mergeIDE on windows2000 before creating the guest.

Thanks for the reply.
The only information i can give is this:
- starting the guest
- the mbr start windows2000
- a windows black screen appears with the progress-bar loading windows
- when windows is fully loaded, progress-bar at the end, it stops here.
- black screen remains with a full progress-bar. And the virtualbox-guest stops here.
The window must be closed to get out the guest.

Still not what is listed in the Guide. Things like VM settings, hardware, VB version, etc.

Ok, i posted the log to http://pastebin.com/m1fb6ad67
After searching the forum about "Guest Log: BIOS: int13_harddisk: function 02, parameters out of range 0000/0000/0001!" but any suggestion of them didn't help.

I'm running a VB windows2000 guest on a linux/debian box,partition hda1, kernel 2.6.28, FS=ext4.
Activated: harddisk boot, acpi, sound, usb and network in Preferences.
Machine: intel P4 2.54G with 500MB ram, 2 (ide)ata hd's.
