Post by mkorne »

After Windows Service Pack Update the hard disk is full. How I can increase the existing hard drive of the virtual machine?

Thx for your support.

try and error?

Thx for the recommendation. But the FAQ description was not successful. Because the hard disk is limited by the configuration of the virtual machine. Therefore you can not increase the hard disk over the limit by the partition manager. :(

I solved the issue by adding a new hard disk in the vm configuration with a bigger volume as the current hard disk. Then I cloned the old hard disk to the new hard disk and started with the new hard disk successful! 8)

Please update the FAQ's!
Don't worry!

That is in the FAQ! It links to the Tutorial: All about VDIs, which describes the cloning method. Please read it again.
