VM does not start: Assertion Failed

hi,

i have problems running VB 2.1.6 on gentoo linux 32bit.
kernel is 2.6.27-gentoo-r8, kernelmodules are loaded.

this is what the log says:

i can start Virtualbox, but no Guests.

Did you get it from emerge, your package repository, or did you install the generic installer from the website? If it's the former, please contact your distrobution package maintainer. He/She must have made a mistake somewhere, or at least can provide you with more info.

Did you however build it yourself from source, then please check if you have all the dependencies to run VB.

hi,

i tried the portage versions and the installer from virtualbox.org.
but i realised that my whole system has some strange dependency problems after updating so i will tried it again after i solved that first
