:( I have VB running on openSUSE 11.1 64bit. My guest system is Windows XP Pro, I have Nero loaded with LightScribe and I can do everything up to the point of actually burning the label it try's but can't do it. Doesn't seem to be able to link up directly with the DVD writer. What can be done? could the problem be how the virtual machine sees and connects to the drive? Can this be over come?

However, I have the latest driver updates for the windows version. As for Linux install of LightScribe I had it installed in openSUSE 10.3 and it worked but, was very, very limited. I haven't gotten it installed on openSUSE 11.1 64bit, and really would like the Windows one to work. By the way I can burn disks from Nero in windows just can't burn labels??? VB does state that writing audio CD's inside the VM is not yet supported, possibly burning labels falls into the same catagory?

VB only enables the burning capability of your burner for data. Nothing else. If you want lightscribe, it's something for the Host. VB cannot see, nor support LS atm. There is a Linux version of Nero, have you tried that yet?

Forget it. Lightscribe Tools for Linux are posted above.
