VirtualBox 2.1.2 - VBoxSVC Memory Usage Very High

Post by john.doe »

Hi @ll !

I've running VirtualBox 2.1.2 on a Ubuntu.

It runs four Virtual Machines since three weeks non-stop.

The process VBoxSVC now takes up to 2.5 Gb of RAM and seems to take every day 100 MB more.

Do anyone have a solution regarding this Problem?

Create a defect on our bug tracker please. Also include the VBox.log of such a session.

VRDP

The Machines are only accessed by VRDP.

It probably has something to do with it.
Also include the VBox.log of such a session.
I can't include all logs files of these machines..

Hi. Use the public Bugtracker to raise a ticket on this issue. You will first need to register for a wiki user account (this is different to a forum account sorry) and then you can logon to the wiki and raise the ticket.

Within the trac tool you can attach files to tickets. Pick one or two example VBox.log files which show this and attach them.
Read the Forum Posting Guide
Google your Q site:VirtualBox.org or search for the answer before posting.
