Windows 7 32 bit guest and Application install

Using the latest VirtualBox, running a Windows 7 32 bit Guest install, set ram to 1024 (and higher), set to dynamic HDD, added an extra HDD in case it needed it, maxed Graphics, turn on 3D Acceleration, and went with otherwise deault settings.
When I try to install an application from the Guest desktop to the Guest Box, it briefly flashes a command prompt with the message "Size too big to fit in memory". I'm not sure of the exact message, because it is literally a quick flash, and it's gone.
This install has worked fine outside of a VirtualBox, on a different Windows 7 install.
I understand this is technically an issue with the Windows install, but in this case, because the application functions fine outside of the VB, I have to assume that the issue is with the VB build of the Windows installation.
Does anyone have any idea what memory it could be referring to, and if so, how I could go about increasing it? Or should I suck it up and dual-boot?
