usb only one time

hi all,

i know there are many threads about usb problems and before i explain my problem:

- i have not the OSE version
- usb in vbox almost ok
- fstab problem is fixed with right group
- usb devices in vbox are normal visible

But 1 have a Problem when I want to connect my MDA Compact 3 severeal times. First connect after restart Host work, but after disconnect und reconnect the device, vbox do not realize that there is a new usb device until restart the host. That means the device isn't in the list of usb devices in vbox directly.

Host: Ubuntu 8.04
Guest: Win XP Prof

I've had the identical problem, but with a USB SmartCard for office VPN access. I never did get any help on that one either. I'm guessing it must be a bug.

Did you try to disconnect and reconnect the USB device directly, to force a discovery on the Host? Which VB version are you using?
