Error Message When Trying To Open New Operating System.

Post by peteyboy22 »

I keep getting an error message when I try to open two of my operating systems. (not at the same time)

This is the error message:
VirtualBox kernel driver not installed
(VERR_VM_DRIVER_NOT_INSTALLED)

Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component: Console
Interface: IConsole {e3c6d4a1-a935-47ca-b16d-f9e9c496e53e}
The code above was from Fedora 10. It was not fully installed and my computer shut down on me.

The second operating system was Xubuntu 8.10. I have no clue why this one went wrong. It was fully installed and i just finished doing a system update. So I shut down my computer for a little while. The next time I tried to open Xubuntu, I got a very similar on to the one I got from Fedora.

Does anyone know how to make it so I can re-install the operating systems on these virtual hard disks?

The Problem

Post by peteyboy22 »

The problem is that the guest additions aren't installed, I get this error message on all 4 of my operating systems now:

Fedora
Windows XP
Ubuntu 8.10
Xubuntu 8.10

How do i install the guest additions if the operating system won't even boot?
