Playing warcraft on windows xp guest

I'm trying to play warcraft III on a windows xp 32bit guest, but when I try to start the game it says that warcraft was unable to initialize Directx. What should I do to solve this issue?
I'm using, as host system, windows xp 64bit sp2.

vb do not support direct3d, only opengl

i can remember one-tree solutions, but no one is integrated to VB

add -opengl to command line launching wc3.
